In addition to deactivating your account, you must <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dashboard.banktechpr.com\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">cancel any active subscriptions<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> linked to your account.<\/span><\/p><h2><b>Before You Deactivate<\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are a few things we recommend doing before you deactivate your BankTech account. Learn more details below.<\/span><\/p><h3><b>Export your payment history<\/b><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Download your payment history for your records. You may need this information for tax purposes, future reference, or when applying for a bank loan or credit card terminal. To start:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Navigate to Balance in your <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dashboard.banktechpr.com\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">online BankTech Dashboard<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Use the date selector to refine a date range. Click This Year or Last Year, then use the arrows to navigate between years.<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Note: Click the middle of the date-selector to see a full calendar view.<\/span><\/i><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select All Locations, or manually choose locations to review.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click Export to download a CSV file to your computer, which you can open using Microsoft Excel or another common spreadsheet software.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h3><b>Export your Product\/Menu Library<\/b><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Exporting your Item Library is a good idea if you plan on creating a new inventory list with another point-of-sale system. It\u2019s also great to keep for your records. You can export your item library from your online BankTech Dashboard into an Excel (.xlsx) or CSV file. Here\u2019s how:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Visit Items in your <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dashboard.banktechpr.com\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">online BankTech Dashboard<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click Actions &gt; Export Library at the top-right of the page.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select whether you\u2019d like to export the file as Excel or CSV. A spreadsheet will download to your computer which you can open using Microsoft Excel or another common spreadsheet software.<\/span><\/p><h3><b>Export your Customer Directory<\/b><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can export your entire customer list directly from your online BankTech Dashboard. This may come in handy if you\u2019ve been collecting customer information you want to reference in the future. To start:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Go to Customers &gt; Directory on your <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dashboard.banktechpr.com\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">online BankTech Dashboard<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click Export Customers.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select the groups you\u2019d like to export customers from. If a customer exists in multiple groups, they will only be exported once.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click Export.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A CSV file will download to your computer, which you can open using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or another common spreadsheet software.<\/span><\/p><h3><b>Cancel your BankTech Online subscriptions and services<\/b><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If your BankTech account uses <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dashboard.banktechpr.com\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BankTech Online<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, please cancel all of the subscriptions and services in your BankTech Online account from the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dashboard.banktechpr.com\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BankTech Online Account page<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> first before deactivating your BankTech account. This will ensure you do not continue getting charged for BankTech Online services you are no longer using.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Learn how to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dashboard.banktechpr.com\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">manage your BankTech Services<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for more information on canceling BankTech Online services.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Note: Your BankTech Online account is an extension of your primary BankTech account with separate billing management. Deactivating your BankTech account will not deactivate your BankTech Online services and subscriptions, so be sure to manually cancel those first before proceeding with deactivation.<\/span><\/p><h3><b>Download any Forms 1099-K issued to your account<\/b><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If your account <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dashboard.banktechpr.com\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">qualified for a 1099-K<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for a previous year, the form is available to download from the Tax Forms section of your <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dashboard.banktechpr.com\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">online BankTech Dashboard<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Note: Your account may qualify for and be issued a Form 1099-K January of next year for sales processed this calendar year. In the case you deactivate your account before the end of the current year and qualify for a 1099-K, it will be mailed to the address on file for your account. Confirm or edit your business address and corresponding tax ID in the Tax Forms section of your <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dashboard.banktechpr.com\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">online BankTech Dashboard<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Learn more about <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dashboard.banktechpr.com\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">tax reporting with BankTech<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p><h2><b>What to do with Your BankTech Hardware<\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BankTech readers and third-party hardware are universal, so they don\u2019t store any personal or account information and can be used with any BankTech account.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Readers are not linked to any specific account holder or bank account, nor do they need to be activated. However, if you are still interested in deactivating your BankTech Point of Sale account, you can do so right from your online BankTech Dashboard.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Note: Once deactivated, you will not be able to reactivate your existing account. You will need to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dashboard.banktechpr.com\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">create a new BankTech account<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> should you decide to begin using BankTech again.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please make sure you\u2019ve exported all the necessary data prior to deactivation. Once ready to start:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Go to Account &amp; Settings on your <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dashboard.banktechpr.com\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">online BankTech Dashboard<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click Business information &gt; About my business.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under \u201cDeactivate your business,\u201d click Deactivate your business.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select your reason for deactivation, add any additional comments (optional), and then click Continue.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Enter the password, then click Confirm.<\/span><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you have 2-Step Verification on your account, your verification code will either be texted to you or you can use your authenticator app.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you do not have 2-Step Verification on your account, your verification code will be emailed to the email address associated with your BankTech account.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Keep in mind that BankTech accounts can be created for free, and you\u2019re welcome to create a new one at any time.
